Rainbow Flag Health Services is the only sperm bank who actively recruit Gay and Bisexual sperm donors in North America. They accept donors from Gay, Bisexual or Heterosexual who wish to have children in their lives. A sperm bank will tell the mother who the donor is when the child is about 3 months old and can contact the the donor when the child reach on his/her 1st birthday. The donors have the limit for 4 – 6 children in different women. The donor have no financial obligations nor custody rights.
To become a donor, the subject must be in good health and can give a commitment for about 15 semen samples that will be frozen and quarantined for 6 months. The Donor will be returned for the retested of HIV before the semen will be released for insemination. $200.00 will be the paid for the donor which will be given for the follow up test. Weekly or twice a week the donations will be do that is the reason why the donors mus be live in Northern California but others will be accepted as long as they are willing to commit to fly weekly at their expense. The donor must practice a safer sex, have no genetic family diseases, under 55 years old, willing to have a physical exam, blood tests and fill out a questionnaire and also to make a commitment that he can provide 15 to 20 sperm samples for over 4 to 8 months.
To make an appointment to begin the process they will conduct a brief phone interview to have a perfectly good fertility and know which sperm will not survive for the freezing process. After abstaining from the ejaculating process for no less than 2 days but not more than 5 days you will give a semen sample. When the sperm count is higher they will freeze it and in one week defrost it see the sperm survive. When the cryosurvival is good then they will call you for the complete physical, lab test and more sperm.

They requires all male ages 18-40 years of age for anonymous sperm donor for all nationalities. They ask for a minimum of 9 months commitment for the program. Donor either have work, still studying or living in the vicinity as long as they routinely screened from infectious and genetic diseases. When the subject accepted the program they compensated to required to collect a minimum of 6 samples per month.

There will 2 initial testing for the 2 semen samples given and when the process will be accepted the donor will proceed to the next step which to have a genetic screening, physical exam done at the laboratory and to have a genetic phone interview. The donor will receive $400.00 plus per month and for time compensation will receive $40-55 but it will start if the donor begins after initial acceptance. The donor will be fully accepted to the program if when the consultations are completed and the results is accepted.

The Sperm Bank of New York was established in 1992. An affiliate of BioGenetics Corporation, Sperm and Embryo bank of New Jersey and also a licensed of New York State Department of Health as a Reproductive Cell and Tissue Bank.

They provide health services worldwide through the physician referrals from individuals like Cryopreserve reproductive cells and tissue for men and women who desire to store their reproductive cells and tissue. They also provides to recruit donors for couples or single women to conceive a child or donor using the cryopreserve donor sperm. They also offer an option to couples and single women seeking to conceive a child through assisted reproduction to select an option to their own directed or designated donor which is their relative or a friend.

There are requirements to be follow to become a potential donor first is do the Initial evaluation process which you can takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks. You will need to collect 3 to 5 samples with an interval of 48 to 72 hours between specimens. These samples are needed for the quality assurance. After passing the BioGenetics Standard, the donor will undergo the initial laboratory. Second is do the initial laboratory will be the Medical documentation which you will needed to complete the screening process like comprehensive family and personal medical history, complete physical exam and behavior risk assessment testing. After the completion of the initial evaluation process there will be a personal lifestyle interview and an I.Q test to be given. Then do the extended testing, the additional laboratory exam which include the CBC, Sickle cell anemia, , B-Thalassemia, Drug Abuse Testing, Cystic Fibrosis, Tay Sachs and Chromosomes analysis as well as the screening for Jewish ancestry for Neimann – Picks Disease, Canavan Disease And Gaucher’s Disease. After passing the test the final will be data gathered during the process will be reviewed by the Medical Director. These is will be the basis if you are accepted or rejected from participating in BioGenetics Donor Program.

However, these 5 steps of evaluation program the prospective donor will be subjected do the following monthly testing of blood semen and urine samples for such tests as Syphillis serology, Hepatitis B Surface antigen, Hepatitis C virus, HTLV – I and II, CMV, HIV1/2, Drug Abuse and Sexually transmitted disease (STD). There will be also a monthly testing for a Semi – Annual (or every six months) re-evaluation which include the test of Hepatitis B – Core and Chemistry profile.

The Acceptable samples will be paid and for the the Anonymous donor will receive $100.00 for each and for the Open ID donors will receive $500.00 for each acceptable sample.
